Housing support services
There are many services available that help prevent homelessness. Services are delivered across many client groups - including young and older people, families, those experiencing addiction, mental health and disability issues.
The services below are available to everyone irrespective of their tenure – Housing Executive, Housing Association, private rented sector and owner occupiers.

Referrals must be over 18 years of age with children under 18 years of age as part of their household or pregnant. Target GroupMACS Supporting Children and Young People Floating Support Service If you are aged 16-25 and are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining your tenancy, Floating Support can help you. We offer Floating Support in the following areas: Belfast Floating Support MACS Belfast covers the geographical areas of North, South, East and West Belfast. Lisburn Floating Support MACS Lisburn covers the Colin area of Belfast, Dundonald and Lisburn. Downpatrick Floating Support MACS Downpatrick covers the geographical areas of Downpatrick, Clough, Killyleagh, Ardglass, Strangford, Shrigley, Crossgar, Ballynahinch, Drumaness, Castlewellan, Dundrum and Newcastle. Target GroupAdults within the Greater Belfast area, who are finding it difficult to maintain their tenancy and suffer from mental health problems.Referral SourceEmail Flatmgt@threshold-service.co.uk to request an information leaflet and application pack. This can be completed by G.P, CMHT, N.I.H.E and self-referrals. When applications are returned you will receive a letter of acknowledgement. A date will be arranged to meet to complete a risk assessment. After the risk assessment is completed and it's assessed that our service suits your needs you will be placed on a waiting list.
